I am a newbie to crochet and want to learn more. I am not able to go outside the area to other crochet events, so I decided to see if there is a want for a crochet social in the Woodbridge/Dale City area. If so---Great! I really want to learn from other crochet professionals or newbies like myself so we could use our crafts for Care Packages for soldiers or for our local hospitals, shelters. I would be great to make it into a regular class for our youth. There is soo many avenues I would love to …

This is a group for anyone interested in crafting. I personally have just gotten started in jewelry making a bit. I also sew and crochet. Not sure where this group may go, if the right sorta people join and really get involved, the sky's the limit. I looked and there isn't anything local in the area other then driving for me 45 minutes, so I decided to start a group in the area and see how it goes. I hope you join and help make it a fun time and meet fantastic people. All skill levels welcome.

This is a group designed to get knitters and crocheters together at least once during the month and share our projects and skill set. Beginner and Advanced needle workers are welcome. I am pretty good at crocheting and welcome anyone who wants to help with the knitting aspect of the group.
This is a new group for people in their 20's and 30's who want to get together to knit, meet new people, and have fun whether you're an experience knitter or crocheter or a beginnner. Knitting has become trendy and more popular in the past few years and for good reasons - it's relaxing, challenging, and fun. While it's an individual activity, it is much more enjoyable to do among other people. We'll try and meet up once a week or once every other week in the DC Metro area and will try to change …

We meet every Thursday evening at the La Madeline Restaurant at the Mid-Pike Plaza on Rockville Pike to share knitting and crochet advice projects, new patterns, yarn, show-and-tell our WIP's (works-in-progress) and FO's (finished objects), and talk about just anything. Feel free to bring other needlecraft projects, too, and don't let problem projects keep you away. Bring them too - there is always help to be found at our meetings.

In 2009, after looking for a group in the Fairfax City area for sewers/knitters/quilters, etc. and not finding one quite close enough, I figured why not start one? Our group is for people looking to stitch with a group to complete all those projects we've started and not completed, and to gain inspiration from others on new projects. Our group is very diverse in experience level, age, and craft. I think that has led to the most fun! No two meet ups are ever the same.
The Embroidery Guild of America is an educational organization dedicated to promoting needlework. The Philadelphia Chapter invites interested needleworkers to join us the fourth Wednesday of every month for our membership meeting. We are open to needleworkers of all experience levels , and offer lectures, classes, seminars and many other fun events! The first two meetings are free, there is an annual membership fee after that, which comes with local and national newsletters and access to member …
A group that meets to talk and share their experience with yarn. Any level of yarn workers who crochet, knit, cross stitch, etc are welcome. We can help each other and hopefully foster friendships along the way. The hope is to work on at least one charity project a year such as making and donating hats, scarves or blankets to a worthy organization. As of Jan 2011, we have begun having a more consistent meeting schedule. We are currently having meetups the first Tuesday of every month and thi …
