Relax and get to know other knitters in the area by bringing your portable knitting/crocheting project to the pub! I hope this group will provide a forum for socializing, sharing patterns and projects, commiserating about yarn hoards, and enjoying the local brews. I've been inspired by "Knitting for Peace" by Betty Christiansen, subtitled "Make the Word a Better Place, One Stitch at a Time." Some possible projects: Chemo Caps, Prayer Shawls, Security Blankets. So, we're knitting (or crocheting, quilting) to give back. Projects will be forwarded to appropriate organizations that will distribute. Get together with like-minded people and laugh, share and hopefully make the world a little better.
We are a group of knitters and crocheters who enjoy sharing time and projects with positive like-minded stitchers.....

A chance for knitters of all levels to get together to knit and share techniques and projects in a social environment. I've been knitting sporadically since I was quite young but only really got into it in any depth. I'm looking forward to meeting other knitters in the Bronx (or surrounding areas who want to come).

Calling all awesome, fun people in Hartford and the surrounding area who are into crafts of all kind - sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, book making, paper crafts, embroidery, needlepoint, etc. The idea is to meet a couple times a month, preferably at an adult beverage-serving establishment, and get our craft on! Maybe field trips to local museums or stores for stash-building, too.
